To make that long part short, Maia made me go up and down the stairs without taking a DAMN REST on it. I almost tripped once, and I doubt that she saw it. Later I got tired... I sat down on a chair in the TLE room and I feel like there was no more air in my lungs, my throat was dry because of so much breathing, my legs were shaking form tiredness, my head was throbbing and my heart was pounding on my rib cage like it wanted to get out. Then as I tried to get up and finish my work, I almost collapsed, lucky no one noticed. Then later one of my friends handed me a bottle of water, and soon I was up and ready. It was like I was training non-stop on my Taekwondo class.
As soon as I got down, I saw the judges taste the food we prepared. I was on the staircase, leaning against the wall, watching. Baah, lets just skip to the point.
I got down to congratulate them. Yeah, but one of my BEST FRIENDS, Christian goes off pushing me against Maia. But then, for the heck of it he told her something- the only word I could make out was my name. As I turned around I heard her voice shout my name and said:
"TIGILAN MO NGA AKO!"
As soon as I heard that, I just closed my hands, shaking from humiliation, and walked off without turning around. I headed to the TLE room and locked myself there, alone, to think about what happened. Later, I couldn't just help myself to cry and all my friends tried their best to make me smile again, but no one couldn't.
I guess somethings aren't really meant to be.
And that was the end of Maia's friendship with me.
